How to get to Jaipur
Jaipur is one vertex of the popular tourism Golden Triangle circuit Agra-Delhi-Jaipur
and is well connected to most parts of India by air, train and road. Participants
can choose to reach Delhi or Mumbai, and then proceed to Jaipur.
- Air: Jaipur is well connected to many cities by both state owned
and private.

- Train: There are about 10 trains to Jaipur from Delhi
every day and travel time is about 5 hours. There are 3 trains to Jaipur from Mumbai,
and the travel time is about 19 hours. There are 2 daily train connections from
Kolkata.

- Road: The State owned Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation
runs many buses between Delhi and Jaipur. The details may be seen at http://www.rsrtc.gov.in/time_table.asp
- An alternate mode of transport is private taxis from Delhi to Jaipur. These can
be arranged a prior through the travel agency, or also taken up on arrival at the
airport. Depending upon the choice of car, this may cost upwards of Rs. 4000/- per
car.

About University of Rajasthan
The University of Rajasthan is the oldest institution of higher learning in Rajasthan.
It was established on 8th January, 1947, as the University of Rajputana with
the main objective of disseminating knowledge and catering to the needs of the students
of Rajasthan. It had jurisdiction over the entire state. In the year 1956,
the Rajputana University was renamed as the University of Rajasthan, keeping intact
its enveloping jurisdiction. With the successive creation of other universities,
its affiliating jurisdiction has come down, but it is still the hub of Higher
Education in Rajasthan paving the way for the other universities. It attracts students
from all over Rajasthan and other parts of India and abroad.
University of Rajasthan is a multi-faculty University and is recognized under 2f
and 12B of U.G.C since its inception. It has 36 Post Graduate Departments,

spanning 6 districts. The location of the University is Urban and its Central Campus
