Reaching LNMIIT is a little tricky, and the following may help:
- There is a famous Girls' School (MGD school, Maharani Gayatri Devi School). The main entrance to this school is on Sawai Ramsingh Road which connects Rambagh Circle to Ajmeri gate. The main entrance is very close to the Ajmeri gate end of this road. Moving north from the main entrance of thisschool, a few tens of meters ahead, at scheduled hours, you will be able to see a yellow bus with L N Mittal Institute of Information Technology written on the sides. Welcome aboard! It will take about 45 minutes to reach The LNMIIT. The bus schedule will be made available in due course, and your input as per 2 above will help.
- Take a "Metro Cab" (42 44 444), or "Meri Car" (41 88 888). Move towards Agra Road. Cross the Transport Nagar Chauraha. Take the left turn just before the first petrol pump (Please do not laugh). This is about two kilometers from the Transport Nagar Chauraha, adjoining and after Sisodia Rani ka Bagh. The LNMIIT is nine kilometers from here. The LNMIIT is also known to the local people as "Mittal college". Since this is outside the municipal limits, the cabs charge Rs. 100/- more than the fare in the meter. Including this Rs. 100/- the Metro Cabs or Meri Car service costs about Rs. 400/- to reach The LNMIIT from airport, and a similar amount from the station. Auto rickshaws charge about Rs. 225/- from the bus stand or the railway station. They all charge about 25% extra as night charges between 10:00 PM and 05:00 AM.
4. Posters:
The pin-up boards for the posters are about 1160 mm (height) by 860 mm (width). These may be rotated by 90 degrees, if you would like landscape format. It may be prudent to get your own posters. If you want, it will be possible to get them printed here. Considering that we are a little distance away from the city, please allow for one day time for this.
5. Payments:
Regret that we can not take credit card payments. There is an ATM of the SBBJ on campus.
6. Campus:
This is a non-smoking campus.
7. Weather:
The temperature on campus is generally a few (2 to 3) degrees lower than the temperature in the city. It has been continuously drizzling in the city for a few days, which is very unusual for this time of the year.
We look forward to your arrival, and hope that you have a nice trip and an enjoyable stay in Jaipur.
